The Little Details

The mild weather returned here yesterday
so I was able to get all my bulbs planted
with visions of spring beauty in my head
while trying to find a bare spot in the garden
                                                 beds to jam them in!
Today,I am sharing some of the little details
in the Boathouse. I love these old tartan picnic
                                                tins.
A little shelf holds a couple of feather trees and a
reindeer as well as the berry wreath and toile bag.

A simple tree in a galvanized bucket.

On the bedside table.

                                              Some enamalware with greenery.

                                                           Love red and white.

Time for tea?

Curl up and read for awhile
after a cup of tea.....or maybe
two ~ it is a big teapot!

Well, that's it for today but in
the next day or two I will be
back with the rest of the story!

       Thank you for visiting,

 Carolyn

very pretty. I love the red and white enamelware. I have some. Unfortunately, I won't be home for Christmas. Going to miss decorating.

I love all the red and white touches here. I have the same white and red enamel teapot as you! Mine is filled with faux greenery and berries and sitting on the kitchen counter. (It's also in my header photo from 2 years ago with real greenery.) Love the small tree in the sap bucket! It is all very pretty.

Very pretty things, it is already very 'Christmassy' at your place.

Hi Carolyn, I love all tartan plaids this year, I used quite a few of them in the shop for the holiday shoppers. This is just the sweetest post. I finally decided on a platter through your winnings some time ago. I finally found the perfect spot for it and will be sharing that soon. I didn't want you to think I was remiss about doing so. fondly ~lynne~

Oh, I am loving this. Love the red and white quilt. I want one of those!!! Seriously, I love all of these. A touch of red here and there, that's what I'm thinking this year!

Hi Josephine,
I get the enamelware here locally at yard sales or thrift shops but don't see it often.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.
